Meet The RAID: Call of the Arbiter Team
With an animated series being something that fans have been asking for since the earliest days of RAID: Shadow Legends, the team at Plarium knew that nothing but the best would do. To do it justice, the team looked for experts in animation, sound, and storytelling to bring RAID: Call of the Arbiter to life.
Inside Look gives you the opportunity to meet some of those people, and find out how their background and expertise helped make RAID: Call of the Arbiter what it is today. Plarium assembled a top team of individuals, as well as one of Europe’s leading animation studios, TeamTO, whose past work includes the Emmy-nominated “Angelo Rules”. Eric S. Rollman - Producer
CEO of Rollman Entertainment and former President of Marvel Television and Animation, Eric Rollman brings serious credentials to his producer role on RAID: Call of the Arbiter. He was instrumental in bringing Marvel to the small screen, and helped drive the success of the Power Rangers franchise. Throughout Inside Look, you’ll hear Eric speak about his passion for creating new media for existing IP, something that the RAID: Shadow Legends team were so excited to do with this limited animated series.
Nicholas Day - Executive Producer
Vice President of Creative at Plarium, Nick brings a wealth of experience and passion for RAID: Shadow Legends having been involved in the game since its conception. Having worked at Plarium for many years, Nick has been a guiding and steady hand for those involved. Throughout the Inside Look videos, he offers a truly unique perspective on how all of these talented individuals came together, and what the process of creating RAID: Call of the Arbiter was truly like.
Jay Oliva - Director and Showrunner
Founder and CEO of animation studio Lex + Otis, Jay Oliva served as the showrunner for RAID: Call of the Arbiter. An animation veteran and former executive producer for Netflix, Jay has directed a dozen animated films for both Marvel and DC, and was previously recruited by Zack Snyder to storyboard the DC Cinematic Universe. A fan of RAID: Shadow Legends since its earliest days, he’s also lent his talent to another video game adaptation - ARK: The Animated Series.
Kendall Deacon Davis - Lead Writer
Also from Lex + Otis is Kendall Deacon Davis, who served as the lead writer for RAID: Call of the Arbiter. His passion for all things dark fantasy shines through in the Inside Look series, and his credentials match up. Kendall also served as the lead writer on ARK: The Animated Series, featuring Russell Crowe, Michelle Yeoh, and more.
Jesper Kyd - Composer
Known for his iconic work on blockbuster video game franchises such as Assassin’s Creed, Warhammer 40K Darktide, and Borderlands, BAFTA award-winning Danish composer Jesper Kyd has created original music for RAID: Call of the Arbiter. Throughout the Inside Look series, you’ll hear about the different influences and unique motifs behind each of the characters and factions in this limited animated series.
RAID: Call of the Arbiter Inside Look Schedule
There’s so much to show regarding the behind-the-scenes development of RAID: Call of the Arbiter, with three Inside Look episodes being released during the limited animated series’ run. The first will air after the premiere on May 18, the second video will be released on June 19, and the third one will drop on July 24.
